Crucible play!
The crucible allows wax colours to be melted (and mixed) in the small heated pot. It is threaded to fit the Encaustic Art Stylus Pro wax graphics tool. Once the waxes have melted they can be poured out through the small tube in a flowing fluid line. There are lot of possibilities with this crucible and it is a great way to use this fiddly little bits of wax colour that you can get left with.

Tip 1:
Add transparent wax to dilute the colour. Some colours are ‘thick’ and don’t flow easily. Adding a bit of transparent wax can be the solution if you want to use those thicker colours.
Tip 2:
Sometimes the wax does not want to flow out of the tube. Clean the end of the tube with a tissue or heat the end of the tube on an iron or (mini) hotplate to run the wax.
