The Bory Stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp …
Rubber stamps are great at repetition. They create a hand made manufactured image, again and again and again. And this can be both useful and interesting to play with when combined with the encaustic art wax colours.
The Bory is a funny little character in the Fantasy Set of the clear polymer stamps in this Encaustic Art range. So he got stamped him onto 4 cards and then went on a journey. That’s the fun part …
Where will you take him?
What will you make him do?
… you can discover what happened when I played under the camera with that idea. But of course, there is so much more possibility. And I could have used the Stylus to colour-over him adn make him much more flamboyant too!!
Imagination is let loose in an exercise like this, so why not have a play around? And why not post one of your results (or more) in the Encaustic House community? We’d love to see your adventures!
*there are some sets of seasonal stamped images to inspire in this month’s Open Window on the home page ( once you sign in) . Scroll down The Living Room page to see them …

The Encaustic Art range of products includes four sets of polymer clear stamps – an obvious advantage is that you can see through the acrylic block and clear stamp whilst you are making the printed impression. This is great for careful placement, pattern making and so on.
Below is a short film showing another example of using the clear polymer stamps for a Christmas card using the Holiday Season Set this time. Take a look if you want to see more. And of course to learn this technique and how to use rubber stamps
. There is so much in there!!
